Define Target
To access this dialog:
-
In the Scheduler Settings dialog (Targets tab), select Add...
This dialog is used by Pit Optimizer, Scheduler and MAO/MFO. Target variables are defined by the specification of target bounds (limits), and depend on the current context; for a more detailed explanation see Targets.
Field Details:
Label: distinctive target name to be used in reports and dialogs.
Rate per time period: select to define the Rate target.
Ratio: to define the Ratio target.
Numerator: type target variable numerator coefficients are found in this column; the common values are 0, 1, -1 and 100 but any decimal value can be used.
Denominator (Ratios only): type target variable denominator coefficients are found in this column; the common values are 0, 1, and -1 but any decimal value can be used.
Display: click to check the correctness of the target variable; note that the dialog showing the variable definition can be resized.
Limits (bounds) and Targets by time: you can vary the three parameters over time. For example, to set the three values to 4, 2 and 6 for the first 2 years; to 2, 0 and 4 for the next 10 years; and to 3, 0 and 5 thereafter, enter:
